Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo Calderón was born in 1907 in Coyoacán, Mexico City, and died in the same place in 1954 at the age of 47. German father and Mexican mother, she is known as Frida Kahlo. She was a Mexican painter and her work revolves around her own life and physical suffering as a result of a serious accident on her way home from school by bus at the age of 18.
